Training on advocacy, accountability, human rights, child rights, freedom of expression, and the role of CSOs in online safety by the “EU- Speak-up” Project

INCIDIN Bangladesh, under the “EU – Speak Up” project, is conducting a six-day training program from 22 to 28 April 2026 in two phases ( First Phase on 22, 23 & 25 April and Second Phase on 26, 27 & 28 April) with the participation of 60 members from 20 national-level Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The training covers key topics including advocacy, accountability, human rights, child rights, freedom of expression, and the role of CSOs in online safety. The training program was inaugurated by the Chairperson of INCIDIN Bangladesh, Mr. Tofazzal Hossain Monju. The Executive Director of INCIDIN Bangladesh, A.K.M. Masud Ali and the main facilitator of this training program renowned consultant Mr. Azizur Rahman Khan Asad, were present along with other officials of the organization.
Through this training, participating organizations are expected to enhance their capacity in advocacy strategies, ensuring accountability, and promoting human rights—particularly child rights, freedom of expression, and online safety. This will enable them to play a more active and effective role, thereby strengthening the engagement of civil society at the national level.

০৪ জুন ২০২৬ তারিখে, বাগেরহাট জেলায় ইনসিডিন বাংলাদেশ-এর উদ্যোগে EU-Speak Up প্রকল্পের আওতায় একটি সিভিল সোসাইটি অর্গানাইজেশন নেটওয়ার্ক সমন্বয় সভা সফলভাবে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
সভায় বিভিন্ন সিভিল সোসাইটি সংস্থার প্রতিনিধিরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন এবং শিশু ও তরুণদের অনলাইন নিরাপত্তা, মৌলিক অধিকার, বিদ্যমান চ্যালেঞ্জ এবং যৌথ উদ্যোগের সুযোগ নিয়ে অভিজ্ঞতা ও মতামত বিনিময় করেন।
আলোচনায় CSO-গুলোর মধ্যে সমন্বয় জোরদার, কার্যকর রেফারেল ব্যবস্থা, জেন্ডার সমতা, শিশু ও তরুণদের অর্থবহ অংশগ্রহণ এবং একটি নিরাপদ ও অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক ডিজিটাল পরিবেশ গড়ে তোলার ওপর গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়।
উক্ত সভায় প্রকল্পের সমন্বয়ক রাফিউল আলী প্রকল্পের উদ্দেশ্য ও কার্যক্রমের সংক্ষিপ্ত বিবরণ উপস্থাপন করেন এবং প্রকল্প কর্মকর্তা কল্যানী চাকমা ও মো: মঈন খান এবং মারুফুল ইসলাম সহ বিভিন্ন সিএসও প্রতিনিধিরা সভায় সক্রিয়ভাবে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
On 04 June 2026, a Civil Society Organization (CSO) Network Coordination Meeting was successfully held in Bagerhat district under the EU-Speak Up project, implemented by INCIDIN Bangladesh.
Representatives from various civil society organizations participated in the meeting and exchanged experiences and views on child and youth online safety, fundamental rights, existing challenges, and opportunities for joint initiatives.
The discussion emphasized strengthening coordination among CSOs, establishing effective referral mechanisms, promoting gender equality, ensuring meaningful participation of children and young people, and building a safe and inclusive digital environment.
In the meeting, Project Coordinator Rafiul Ali presented a brief overview of the project’s objectives and activities. Project Officer Kallyani Chakma and Md. Moin Khan and Md. Marfuful Islam along with representatives from various civil society organizations, actively participated in the session.
Observing Global Day against Child Labour 2026

Child participants from Mollahat Project Office of INCIDIN Bangladesh represented the voices of nation’s children at the South Asian regional consultation held on “Global Day against Child Labour”. The event was organized by SAIEVAC (South Asia Initiative to End Violence Against Children). The two child representatives, Nafisa and Arfin took the stand on legal enforcement, education, skilling and comprehensive approach to end child labour. National Action and Coordination Group provided this opportunity of speaking up.
Service Directory Validation Workshop to support Children and Youth affected by Online and Offline Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

INCIDIN Bangladesh, as part of EU- Speak Up! project, successfully organized a Service Directory Validation Workshop on 17 June 2026 in Dhaka.
The workshop brought together representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs), implementing partners, and relevant government institutions, including the National Child Helpline (1098), the Government Helpline (109), and the Bangladesh Police. The primary objective of the workshop was to validate a comprehensive service directory designed to support children and youth affected by online and offline sexual abuse and exploitation.
Through interactive discussions and collaborative review, participants identified existing service gaps, refined referral pathways, and reached a consensus on mechanisms to strengthen coordination among service providers. This marks an important step toward enhancing access to timely, child-sensitive, and survivor-centered support services at the community level.
As a follow-up to the workshop, the service directory will be finalized and disseminated among CSOs and relevant stakeholders. Efforts will also be undertaken to promote its wider adoption and utilization to improve referral and support mechanisms for vulnerable children and young people.
Digital MEAL and Reporting Frameworks Workshop



As part of its organizational capacity strengthening initiatives, INCIDIN Bangladesh inaugurated a two-day workshop on Digital MEAL and Reporting Frameworks today, 24 June 2026, at Chuti Resort in Gazipur under the Project “Enhancing Protection of Child- Sex Trafficking Survivors in Bangladesh” supported by The Freedom Fund.
The primary objective of the workshop is to enhance participants’ knowledge, skills, and capacities in digital MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) systems and reporting frameworks, thereby enabling the organization to implement its programs and operations in a more effective, transparent, and evidence-based manner.
